Typecasting is a sensitive subject for actors, because it limits the full range of their creative talents. We designed our Character-first voice acting platform to remove the seriousness of typecasting. Actor's stay anonymous and can have multiple Characters. Each Character represents a chance for an Actor to try something new with their voice.
An Actor can make creative choices with a Character's avatar and monologue, but they can also selectively accept or decline Casts they think fit with their Character. We track the types of Casts each Character completes to better match them with future Casts. This means that if you have developed a young adult male voice for advertising; those are the types of Casts you'll get.
There are many niches that a Character can be designed for. For example:
- Job Category: advertising, animation, audiobook, elearning, or videogame
- Gender: female, male, or transgender
- Age: child, teenager, young_adult, middle_age, or senior
